Basketball Recap: Amador Valley Gets the Win

With a playoff win on the line, Amador Valley rose to the challenge on Friday. They came out on top against the Northgate Broncos by a score of 66-53. That's two games straight that the Dons have won by exactly 13 points.

Northgate lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Grayson Boustead, who posted ten points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. What's more, he also posted a 50% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Deangelo Smith was another key player, dropping a double-double with 13 points and ten boards.

The win made it two in a row for Amador Valley and bumps their season record up to 21-9. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.5 points over those games. As for Northgate, their defeat dropped their record down to 20-10.

Coming up, Amador Valley will face off against Redwood at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Redwood will roll in looking for their tenth straight victory, something Amador Valley surely won't give up without a fight. Northgate does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
