Volleyball Recap: Meigs Beats Federal Hocking for Their Fourth Straight Win

Meigs took a three-set defeat the last time they faced off against Federal Hocking, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Marauders narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Lancers 3-2. The victory was familiar territory for the Marauders, who have now won four matches in a row.

Meigs was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 24-26, 23-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Marlee Laudermilt was a one-woman wrecking crew as she had 41 digs and two aces. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordin Davenport, who had 43 assists and five digs.

Meigs' win bumped their record up to 7-10. As for Federal Hocking, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.

Looking ahead, Meigs will challenge Alexander at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Federal Hocking, they will face off against Wellston at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
