Baseball Recap: Oakville Finds Home Field Redemption Against Wishkah Valley

There's no place like home for Oakville, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They blew past the Wishkah Valley Loggers 14-1 on Friday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 16-0 back in April.

Isaiah Bird made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Bird was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. He has become a key player for Oakville: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 2-9 otherwise.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Trysten Krise-McLean, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those two runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Emanuel Torrance, who got on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases and one run.
