Baseball Recap: Dexter Southfield Comes Up Short

Dexter Southfield fell victim to Cushing Academy and their airtight pitching crew on Wednesday. They lost 6-0 to the Penguins. Dexter Southfield was not able to repeat the success they had when they faced Cushing Academy earlier this season, when they won 19-5.

Dexter Southfield saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Patrick Bryan, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

This is the second loss in a row for Dexter Southfield and nudges their season record down to 6-3. As for Cushing Academy, their record is now 3-6-1.

Coincidentally, Dexter Southfield and Cushing Academy will both be playing Marianapolis Prep the next time they take the field. Dexter Southfield will head out to face Marianapolis Prep at 4:30 p.m. on Friday, while Cushing Academy will head out to face them at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday.
