Football Game Preview: Warren Warriors vs. Brennan Bears

Warren is 2-8 against Brennan since October of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Warriors will square off against the Bears at 7:30 p.m. Warren has given up an average of 27.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Warren is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 35 points last Saturday, they were much more limited against Harlan on Friday. They were beaten by the Hawks 49-7. The Warriors were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 28-7.

Meanwhile, Brennan waltzed into their contest on Friday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 35-28. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Bears' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 98th, while the Raiders are ranked 512th).

Brennan's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Warren, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Warren was dealt a bruising 60-0 defeat at the hands of Brennan in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. Thankfully for the Warriors, Malik White (who rushed for 183 yards and seven scores while picking up 11.4 yards per carry) won't be suiting up this time.
