Soccer Recap: Hanks Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 1-1 at halftime, Hanks was not quite El Dorado's equal in the second half on Saturday. They fell just short of the El Dorado Aztecs by a score of 2-1. The Knights were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Aztecs earlier this season, when they won 1-1.

This is the second loss in a row for Hanks and nudges their season record down to 11-11-1. Admittedly, the team was facing some tough opposition over that stretch, including 18-1-2 Del Valle (their opponents had an average overall winning percentage of 67.7% over those games). As for El Dorado, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-11 record this season.

Hanks has already played their next game, an 8-0 loss against Americas on the 11th. As for El Dorado, they also didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next contest, an 8-0 defeat against Del Valle on the 11th.
