Meanwhile, Catholic Memorial narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Oak Creek 3-2.

Catholic Memorial had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first two sets, they turned around to win the next three. The match finished with set scores of 19-25, 22-25, 25-12, 25-13, 15-13.

Appleton North's defeat dropped their record down to 1-19. As for Catholic Memorial, their win bumped their record up to 13-10.

Appleton North couldn't quite get it done against Catholic Memorial in their previous meeting on Saturday as they fell 2-0. Can the Lightning avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
