Basketball Recap: Mariana Bracetti Academy Find Success

Mariana Bracetti Academy had to kick off their season on the road on Saturday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 35-22 win over the Maritime Academy Charter Seadogs.

Maritime Academy Charter lost despite a true team effort on offense. The best among them was Alondra Chico, who posted eight points and five steals. Marlae Boone was another key player, putting up six points and three steals.

Maritime Academy Charter's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mariana Bracetti Academy will venture away from home to challenge South Philadelphia at 3:15 p.m. on December 1. As for Maritime Academy Charter, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on MAST Charter II at 3:15 p.m. on December 8. This will be the Seadogs' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
