Football Recap: Corvian Community Cardinals vs. Harding University Rams
Corvian Community took care of business in their home opener on Friday (and then some). They blew past the Harding University Rams, posting a 47-8 victory at home. The match was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 34-0.
Corvian Community got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Noah Best out in front who picked up 59 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 46 yards. Another back making a difference was Cam Johnson, who rushed for 38 yards and two touchdowns.
Corvian Community's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB eight times. The heavy lifting was done by Jayden Summers and Adrian Scott who racked up four sacks between them.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Corvian Community will square off against Ballantyne Ridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Harding University, they will take on Ben L. Smith at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Harding University is looking for their season?s first victory.
