Football Recap: Canon City Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Canon City came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against the Pueblo East Eagles, falling 49-26. The Tigers have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Canon City's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 4-4. As for Pueblo East, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Canon City is set to face off against their familiar foe Pueblo County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Pueblo East will challenge rival Coronado at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Dolphka Lewis and Thomas Buckmiller.
