Baseball Game Preview: Evergreen Park Mustangs vs. Shepard Astros

The Evergreen Park Mustangs will square off against the Shepard Astros at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Evergreen Park lost 17-5 to Brother Rice on Friday. The Mustangs haven't had much luck with the Crusaders recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Meanwhile, Shepard fell victim to Andrew and their airtight pitching crew on Saturday. They came up short against the Thunderbolts, falling 12-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Astros have suffered since April 22nd.

Evergreen Park's loss dropped their record down to 19-11. As for Shepard, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-18.

Evergreen Park beat Shepard 5-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. Will the Mustangs repeat their success, or do the Astros have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
