Vallivue and Hillcrest squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Vallivue had to settle for second. They lost 3-0 to the Knights. The Falcons' defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Leading Hillcrest to victory were Natalie Petty and Ali Maddux. Petty had six digs and three aces, while Maddux had ten digs and one assist. That's the most aces Petty has posted over her last eight matches.

Vallivue's loss dropped their record down to 9-20. As for Hillcrest, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 26-6.

Vallivue didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Wood River on the 31st. As for Hillcrest, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-2 victory against Middleton on the 31st.
