Basketball Game Preview: Leland Cubs vs. West Bolivar Eagles

Leland is 2-8 against West Bolivar since January of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The two teams will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. Leland will be strutting in after a win while West Bolivar will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with nine losses in a row dating back to last season, Leland turned things around against Amanda Elzy two weeks ago. They walked away with a 51-44 victory over the Panthers.

Meanwhile, West Bolivar was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They were beaten by Biggersville 80-41. The Eagles were down 64-34 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

West Bolivar's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Leland, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-7.

Leland lost to West Bolivar on the road by a decisive 39-25 margin when the teams last played back in January. Can Leland avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
