Soccer Recap: Ramona Comes Up Short

Ramona fell victim to La Sierra and their airtight defense on Tuesday. They fell just short of the La Sierra Eagles by a score of 1-0. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rams came into the contest with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' California soccer rankings (they are ranked 375th, while the Eagles are ranked 783rd).

Ramona's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3-2. As for La Sierra, their victory bumped their record up to 2-4-1.

Ramona will head out on the road to face off against Norte Vista at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Ramona's last three games have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for La Sierra, they will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Jurupa Valley at 3:30 p.m. La Sierra's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
