Volleyball Recap: Bruning-Davenport/Shickley Snags Tenth Win in Last 13 Games

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley barely beat Dorchester the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Eagles put the hurt on the Longhorns with a sharp 3-0 win on Monday. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since October 6th (when they won 3-0).

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley walked away with the victory (and looked especially good in the second set). The final score came out to 25-20, 25-10, 25-16.

Lauryn Koch paced Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's offense, picking up nine kills. Koch got some help from Olivia Schlegel and her 13 assists. Finally, Kennedy Barney kept Bruning-Davenport/Shickley's defense grounded, leading the team with three blocks.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley has been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 13 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-10 record this season. As for Dorchester, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-17 record this season.

Bruning-Davenport/Shickley didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 win against Meridian on the 28th. Dorchester does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
