Marbury scored the most points they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 86-80 to the Pike Road Patriots. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 75-56 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Marbury's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Noah Trotter, who posted 26 points, and Jamar Brown, who put up 21 points. Another player making a difference was CJ Cook, who earned 11 points.

Marbury's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 4-5. As for Pike Road, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Marbury will challenge Chilton County at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Pike Road, they will take on Brewbaker Tech at 8:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Patriots will be up against the Rams' rather soft defense (which has allowed 53.33 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
