Game recap: Piedmont High School Football Team wins against Forest Hills

MONROE, N.C. - After swapping the lead two times, Piedmont (Monroe, N.C.) took the lead for the win when they scored a defensive touchdown in the second quarter, paving the way for victory over Forest Hills (Marshville, N.C.) 49-35.

After taking the lead on a defensive touchdown in the second quarter, the Panthers led 28-14 at the half.

Piedmont saw its 14-point halftime lead decrease to seven entering the fourth.

Jared Lee was an important factor even in defeat, and rushed for four touchdowns for the Yellowjackets.

Aaron Braswell played well for PHS in the victory. The junior running back ran for two touchdowns.



The Monroe school avenged last year's 17-7 loss to Forest Hills with the victory.

The loss was the fourth in a row for FH.

Piedmont (3-1) goes up against Central Academy in a non-conference game matchup next week, while Forest Hills (0-4) locks horns with Cuthbertson also in a non-conference game.
