Preview: Classical Prep Lions vs. Solid Rock Community Sea Shepherds
Classical Prep has enjoyed the comforts of home their last two games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Solid Rock Community Sea Shepherds at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
On Tuesday, Classical Prep ended up a good deal behind Berkeley Prep and lost 55-37.
The losing side was boosted by Kaelyn Malloy, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. That was a full 51.4% of Classical Prep's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Meanwhile, Solid Rock Community came up short against Web of Wisdom on Thursday and fell 30-18.
Classical Prep's defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-5. As for Solid Rock Community, they now have a losing record at 2-3.
Classical Prep was able to grind out a solid win over Solid Rock Community when the teams last played back in December of 2019, winning 28-19. The rematch might be a little tougher for Classical Prep since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
