Softball Recap: Aurora Christian Takes a Loss

Aurora Christian had lost five straight on the road, but on Saturday they dropped down to 8-13 to make it six. They took a 10-7 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lisle Lions. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Lions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2025.

Grace Kendall was cooking despite her team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Tayla Ulery, who went 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and one RBI.

As for Lisle, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-14. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.5 runs over those games.

On Lisle's side, Megan Bradley made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Bradley was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted over her last 11 matchups.

Bradley wasn't the only one making solid contact as four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Emily Bieniasz, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. That's the most RBI Bieniasz has posted since back in May of 2025. Jaya Claussen was another, earning two RBI and one run.

Looking ahead, Aurora Christian will take on Chicago Christian at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lisle, they will face off against Peotone at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. The Blue Devils' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Lions' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
