Football Recap: Alto Takes a Loss

Alto dropped to 4-5 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They took a blow against the Overton Mustangs, falling 47-3. If the Yellowjackets were looking for revenge after losing 58-34 to the Mustangs when the teams met back in October of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Overton, they pushed their record up to 5-3 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five games by 27 points or more this season.

Rylan Holleman continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 94 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 60 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Jacob Osburn did his part to keep the secondary busy, picking up 98 receiving yards.

Coincidentally, Alto and Overton will both be playing Mt. Enterprise the next time they take the field. The Mustangs will host the Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Yellowjackets will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on November 7.
