Basketball Recap: Helias Piles Up the Points Against Lebanon

Helias won the last time they faced Lebanon and things went their way on Thursday too. The Helias Crusaders blew past the Lebanon Yellowjackets 72-33. That 39 point margin sets a new team best for the Crusaders this season.

Lebanon's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Noah Boggs, who posted eight points. Harrison Howe was another key player, putting up six points.

Helias' win bumped their record up to 8-9. As for Lebanon, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season.

Helias won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Metro Academy at 8:30 p.m. on Friday. Helias knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Metro Academy likes a good challenge. As for Lebanon, they will host Parkview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
