Football Game Preview: Bayard Rustin Golden Knights vs. Kennett Blue Demons

Bayard Rustin is 8-1 against Kennett since October of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Golden Knights will host the Blue Demons at 7:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.

Bayard Rustin is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They took their game with ease, bagging a 42-0 win over Henderson. The Golden Knights haven't had any issues with the Warriors recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

Will Garner continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 250 yards and five scores on only 13 carries. Those 250 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another rusher making a difference was Colin Baldesari, who rushed for 71 yards and one touchdown on only seven carries.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bayard Rustin was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 418 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 202 rushing yards in eight consecutive matchups.

Bayard Rustin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Max Learn and Baldesari.

Meanwhile, Kennett got themselves on the board against Oxford on Friday, but Oxford never followed suit. They breezed past the Hornets to the tune of 35-0. The Blue Demons pushed the score to 21-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Hornets had little chance of recovering from.

Bayard Rustin's win bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Kennett, their victory bumped their record up to an identical 9-2.
