Flag Football Recap: Apache Junction Comes Up Short

It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 44-6, which was the final score in the Apache Junction Prospectors's tilt against the Benjamin Franklin Chargers on Thursday.

Olivia LaMont was nothing short of spectacular for Benjamin Franklin: she threw for 327 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per attempt. Those five passing touchdowns gave LaMont a new career-high. Adlee Trujillo was another key player, picking up 92 receiving yards and a pair of scores.

Apache Junction's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Benjamin Franklin, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season.

As of now, neither Apache Junction nor Benjamin Franklin have any future games scheduled.
