Volleyball Game Preview: Richardson Eagles vs. Martin Warriors

Richardson hasn't had much luck against Martin recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Eagles will head out on the road to square off against the Warriors at 7:00 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Last Friday, Richardson made easy work of Irving and carried off a 3-0 win.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Richardson took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-11, 25-14, 25-9.

Centennial typically has all the answers at home, but on Monday Martin proved too difficult a challenge. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Spartans 3-2. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Spartans recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Martin wouldn't go down easily and took Centennial into a fifth set where they got it done with a three-point win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-19, 20-25, 25-23, 15-12.

Richardson's record is now 23-17. As for Martin, their record now sits at 22-17.

Richardson suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Martin when the teams last played back in November of 2024. Can the Eagles avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
