Cicero Prep Academy waltzed into their match on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They put the hurt on the Joseph City Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Centurions, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Cicero Prep Academy got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 25-21, 34-32.

Among those leading the charge was Layla Hrabe, who had 15 digs and three assists.

Cicero Prep Academy's win bumped their record up to 25-9. As for Joseph City, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four matches and leaves them with a 29-13 record.

Coming up, Cicero Prep Academy will host San Simon at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Joseph City, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 3-0 victory against Seligman on the 1st.
