Volleyball Recap: Kimberly Takes a Loss

Kimberly entered their contest against Filer on Wednesday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Wildcats by a score of 3-2. The Bulldogs were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Wildcats earlier this season, when they won 3-1.

Kimberly actually scored more points across those five sets (107-97), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 29-27, 10-25, 18-25, 25-23, 15-7.

Kimberly's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 18-8. As for Filer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 21-10.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Kimberly beat the Wildcats by a score of 3-0 later that day.
