Volleyball Game Preview: Glens Falls Black Bears vs. Gloversville Huskies/Dragons

The Glens Falls Black Bears are taking a road trip to challenge the Gloversville Huskies/Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Gloversville took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Glens Falls, who comes in off a win.

Glens Falls barely beat Amsterdam the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Black Bears were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Rams on Tuesday. The Black Bears haven't had any issues with the Rams recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Glens Falls never let Amsterdam on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-23, 25-17.

Meanwhile, Gloversville was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They lost 3-0 to Broadalbin-Perth.

Gloversville took the loss but they managed to make steady progress, increasing their score in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-20, 25-22.

Glens Falls' victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Gloversville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-10-3.

Glens Falls suffered a grim 3-0 defeat to Gloversville when the teams last played back in August of 2023. Can the Black Bears avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
