After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marist, Northview was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They put the hurt on the Druid Hills Red Devils with a sharp 10-1 victory. The win continues a trend for the Titans in their matchups with the Red Devils: they've now won three in a row.
Northview got a massive performance out of Stella Weaver, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with three runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That triple marked the first that Weaver has hit this season. Another player making a difference was Jinghan (Hannah) Xu, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.
Northview always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .520. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Druid Hills only posted an OBP of .308.
Northview's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Druid Hills, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-5.
