Football Game Preview: Hokes Bluff Eagles vs. Ashville Bulldogs + How To Watch

Hokes Bluff has gone a perfect 5-0 against Ashville recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home field against the Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. Neither of those teams managed to put together many points in their previous contests, so the offenses might be a little more motivated than usual.

On Friday, Hokes Bluff lost to Cherokee County on the road by a 24-10 margin. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Hokes Bluff might have lost, but man, Bryce Whitaker was a machine: he rushed for 145 yards and one TD while picking up 9.1 yards per carry. Whitaker is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 135 every time he's taken the field this season.

Meanwhile, Ashville had to suffer through a 56-13 loss at the hands of Alexandria. The game marked the Bulldogs' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Ashville didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Jb Potter and Brayden Daniels. Another thorn in Alexandria's side was Luke Brewer, who made 17 total tackles (3.0 for loss).

Hokes Bluff's loss dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Ashville, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-2.

Everything came up roses for Hokes Bluff against Ashville in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, as the team secured a 56-19 win. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
