Soccer Recap: Cristo Rey Comes Up Short

Cristo Rey was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against the O'Bryant Tigers, falling 6-0. While losing is never fun, Cristo Rey can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Massachusetts soccer rankings (they are ranked 300th, while O'Bryant is ranked 137th).

Cristo Rey's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8-1. As for O'Bryant, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-2 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matches. Cristo Rey will take on Community Academy of Science & Health at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for O'Bryant, they will venture away from home to challenge Tech Boston Academy/Academy of Public Service at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
