Basketball Recap: Moody Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Moody extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to four on Thursday, dropping them down to 0-3. They lost 88-66 to the Ashville Bulldogs. If the Blue Devils were looking for revenge after losing 70-66 to the Bulldogs when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Ashville, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 76.0 points this season.

Ashville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was JB Potter, who went 5-for-11 to rack up 17 points in addition to five boards and three steals. What's more, Potter also posted a 75% three-point shooting accuracy, which is the highest he's achieved since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Parker Jackson, who shot 64% from the field on his way to 17 points.

Moody and Ashville will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Blue Devils see the court they'll take on Westminster School at Oak Mountain at 7:00 p.m. on December 1. As for Ashville, their break will end when they face Southside at 7:00 p.m. on December 2.
