Volleyball Recap: Walsenburg Comes Up Short

Walsenburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Grand Junction Central Warriors.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-12, 25-10.

Grand Junction Central found their leader in sophomore Delany Nostrand, who had eight aces and five digs. Nostrand has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

Walsenburg's defeat dropped their record down to 5-16. As for Grand Junction Central, their victory ended a five-match drought on the road and puts them at 4-17.

Walsenburg wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Liberty on the 1st. As for Grand Junction Central, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Pueblo East on the 1st.
