Baseball Recap: Muir Comes Up Short

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Muir's offense. They came up short against the Burroughs Bears on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Mustangs in their meetings with the Bears: they've now lost nine in a row.

Muir got a good showing from Justin Figueroa, who tossed 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Figueroa has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two walks any time he's pitched this season.

Muir's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Burroughs, their victory bumped their record up to 9-2.

While Muir had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
