Baseball Recap: Bremen Drops Season-High Score on Temple

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bremen). They were the clear victors by a 16-1 margin over the Temple Tigers on Friday. The Blue Devils have beaten the Tigers the last six times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Tigers has come to flipping the script.

Aiden Price was incredible, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, four RBI, and two runs. He has become a key player for Bremen: the team is undefeated when he posts at least two runs, but 7-9 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Conner Helton, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2.

Bremen always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .741. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.

Bremen's win bumped their record up to 11-9. As for Temple, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 13 of their last 15 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-15 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Bremen will venture away from home to take on Heard County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Heard County has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.16 runs per game on average), something Bremen will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Temple, they will square off against Haralson County at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
