Cedar Valley had lost seven straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-6 to make it eight. They took a 49-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Bingham Miners. On the bright side, the 39- point effort marked the Aviators' highest-scoring matchup to date.

As for Bingham, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-5. Those wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games.

Bingham's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tuis Tuikolovatu, who rushed for 121 yards and one score on only 14 carries. Tuikolovatu's longest rush was for an impressive 50 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. The team also got some help courtesy of John Kulimushi, who picked up 138 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Cedar Valley will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Westlake at 7:00 p.m. on October 10. As for Bingham, they will face off against Copper Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Miners will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 27 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
