After having lost a blowout in their previous game against La Plata, North Point was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the McDonough Rams 11-3. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won three matchups by eight runs or more this season.

Alyssa Blaney made a big impact no matter where she played. She struck out eight batters over seven innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off seven hits (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, North Point let Aminah Ayyad and Emily Yanick run wild. Ayyad scored three runs while going 3-for-3, while Yanick went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Sophia Weedin, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.

North Point's victory bumped their record up to 4-2.
