Baseball Game Preview: Del City Eagles vs. Classen SAS Comets

For the second straight game, Del City will face off against Classen SAS. The Eagles will challenge the Comets at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.

Having struggled with seven defeats in a row, Del City turned things around against Classen SAS on Monday. They were the clear victors by a 12-2 margin over the Comets. The Eagles not only won on Monday, but they posted their biggest win since March 26th (when they won 17-5).

Sam Glisson spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on eight hits and racked up eight Ks.

At the plate, Joshua Hardeman was incredible, getting on base in all five of his plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and one double. He has become a key player for Del City: the team is 5-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 2-19 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of Ari Maes, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three runs and one stolen base.

Classen SAS' loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 6-16-1. As for Del City, their win bumped their record up to 7-20.
