Football Game Preview: Chavez Titans vs. McNair Eagles + Official Tickets

Chavez and McNair are an even 5-5 against one another since October of 2015, but not for long. The Titans will take on the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Chavez knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 31 points or more in their past seven games -- so hopefully McNair likes a good challenge.

Chavez played against Weston Ranch on Friday and won via forfeit.

Joel Donnell was his usual excellent self, rushing for 102 yards and a pair of TDs on only eight carries. He has been hot recently, having also posted two or more rushing touchdowns the last three times he's played. Elijah Walker also helped with two touchdowns in total.

McNair is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 45 points on October 3rd, they were much more limited against Stagg on Friday. They came up short against the Delta Kings, falling 32-8. The Eagles' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

McNair didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut Jeremiah Williams.

Chavez pushed their record up to 8-0 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.5 points over those games. As for McNair, they now have a losing record of 3-4.

Friday's matchup might be decided in the trenches. Chavez has been excellent on the ground this season, having averaged 181.5 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for McNair, though, as they've been averaging only 81.6 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?

Chavez was able to grind out a solid victory over McNair in their previous matchup back in October of 2024, winning 26-18. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Titans since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
