After flying high against Roseville on Friday, Woodbury came back down to earth. The Royals fell 11-6 to the Forest Lake Rangers on Monday. The Royals' loss signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Jack Gessner and Elliott Kiel did some serious damage despite the final result: Gessner went 1-for-3 with one home run, while Kiel went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one double, and one RBI. That home run marked the first that Gessner has launched this season. Tyler LaMott was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Woodbury's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Forest Lake, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Woodbury will welcome White Bear Lake at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Forest Lake, they will face off against Anoka at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
