Basketball Recap: Macdonald's Undefeated Season over After Three Games + How To Watch

The MacDonald Condor came up short against the Oakwood Hawks on Friday and fell 57-48. The loss put an end to the Condor's undefeated start to the season.

Despite the loss, MacDonald still got an impressive performance from Mateen Mazhar, who shot 50% from the field to rack up 21 points. The contest was Mazhar's third in a row with at least 19 points. Anthony Parrales was another key player, putting up eight points.

Oakwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Bryce Smith-Keeney out in front who posted 15 points in addition to five assists and five boards. Those five rebounds gave Smith-Keeney a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nate Carlson, who almost dropped a double-double with 15 points and nine boards.

Having lost for the first time this season, MacDonald fell to 2-1. As for Oakwood, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, MacDonald will be playing in front of their home fans against Hill at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Condor will be up against the Falcons' rather soft defense (which has allowed 76.2 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Oakwood, they are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Seaside at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
