Football Game Preview: Matawan Regional Huskies vs. Seneca Golden Eagles

The Matawan Regional Huskies will square off against the Seneca Golden Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Matawan Regional is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over Somerville.

Matawan Regional didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Kevin Auguste, Welman Crooms, and Alan Sparks picked up one apiece. Auguste got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Seneca). They took their matchup on Friday with ease, bagging a 41-7 victory over Ewing. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Eagles sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Seneca's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Matawan Regional, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
