Recap: Wallace Wildcats vs. Sandhills/Thedford Knights
The Wallace Wildcats lost against the Sandhills/Thedford Knights back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. Wallace suffered a rough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Sandhills/Thedford. Wallace has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Wallace had strong showings from Matt Lungrin, who scored 17 points, and Max Hanson, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds. Lungrin scored a full 43.6% of Wallace's points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points.
Wallace now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Sandhills/Thedford, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Wallace will square off against Hyannis on Saturday. Hyannis will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive. As for Sandhills/Thedford, they will head out on the road to face off against North Central on Saturday.
