Salina Central waltzed into their matchup on Saturday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Topeka Trojans. For the Mustangs, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Trojans walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2024.

McKynlee Dunlap paced Salina Central's offense, picking up nine kills. Dunlap got some help from Elizabeth Howard and her 13 assists.

Salina Central's win bumped their record up to 20-11. As for Topeka, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-18-4.

Salina Central wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 victory against Abilene on the 18th. As for Topeka, they will face off against Ottawa at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
