Recap: Caruthers vs. Minarets

In what's become a running theme this season, the Caruthers Blue Raiders gave their fans yet another huge win on Tuesday. Their defense stepped up to hand Minarets a 12-0 shutout. It was an even better day for Jesus Quezada as he scored five goals for his team.

Caruthers pushed their record up to 14-7 with that victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 30 goals over those six contests. As for Minarets, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-15.

Caruthers will look to defend their home pitch on Thursday against Liberty at 5:30 p.m. Liberty's last four matchups have been decided by no more than a goal, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Minarets, they will head out on the road to take on Riverdale at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Minarets' offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for 15 straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.
