Volleyball Recap: Sylvania Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Sylvania can now relate to. They came up short against the Geraldine Bulldogs on Tuesday, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Rams have suffered since September 30th.

Mylee Pittman was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 11 digs and two aces. That's the most digs she has posted over her last 12 matches. Kennedy Mayfield also deserves some recognition as she had her first blocks of the season.

Sylvania has been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 14 matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-18 record this season. As for Geraldine, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 20-26.

Sylvania does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Geraldine, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Fyffe on the 14th.
