Summit made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Franklin, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Spartans fell just short of the Admirals by a score of 8-6 on Friday. Having soared to a lofty 35 points in the game before, the Spartans couldn't push the score so high this time.

Summit's loss dropped their record down to 2-7. As for Franklin, the victory snapped their losing streak at seven games and leaves them with a 2-7 record.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Summit will face off against Independence on Thursday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: the Spartans have lost four straight at home , while the Eagles have lost three on the road. As for Franklin, they will challenge Cordova at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Admirals will be up against the Wolves' rather soft defense (which has allowed 33.56 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
