It's playoff time, and Talawanda had no trouble coming through when it counted. They simply couldn't be stopped on Friday as they easily beat the Goshen Warriors 56-28. The Brave's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Talawanda got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Lance Cantrell out in front who rushed for 234 yards and three scores while picking up 9.4 yards per carry. Cantrell's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 160 rushing yards. Another signal caller making a difference was Jake Van Gorden, who threw for 314 yards and four touchdowns while completing 90% of his passes.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Talawanda was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 265 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 235 rushing yards in three consecutive games.

Despite the loss, Goshen still got an impressive performance from Caden Slusher, who rushed for 48 yards and a pair of TDs, and also threw for 230 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
