Cedarcrest dropped down to 5-2 on Friday, ending the team's four-game streak of wins. They were outmatched by the Interlake Saints and fell 48-7. Having soared to a lofty 63 points in the game before, the Red Wolves couldn't push the score so high this time.

Glen Veranth threw for 119 yards and one TD. Aiden Valentine was his top target, picking up 67 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Cyrus Malone rushed for 98 yards.

As for Interlake, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 6-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 8.2 points on average over those games.

Julian Hayes continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, throwing for 330 yards and six touchdowns while completing 80% of his passes, and also rushing for 72 yards and one TD on only five carries. Thanks to that big game, he is now up to 23 passing touchdowns on the season. Max Stephenson was in the mix as well, providing Interlake with three scores.

Cedarcrest has already played their next matchup, a 34-20 win against Lindbergh on the 24th. As for Interlake, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 56-6 victory against Foster on the 23rd.
