Baseball Recap: Santee Comes Up Short

If Santee was feeling good fresh off their 14-1 takedown of Diego Rivera last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Falcons fell just short of the Jefferson Democrats by a score of 6-5 on Wednesday. The Falcons have struggled against the Democrats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Santee saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was E. Contreras, who went 2-for-4 with one double.

Santee's defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 6-1 and their overall record down to 8-5. As for Jefferson, they now have a winning record of 6-5.

While Santee had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:45 p.m. on Friday.
