The New Covenant Gryphons will head out on the road to face off against the Tandem Friends Badgers at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. New Covenant is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 4.1 goals per game this season.

New Covenant is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Virginia's top teams: The Covenant School, who was ranked 16th at the time (New Covenant was ranked 15th). The Gryphons lost 6-3 to the Eagles on Thursday. New Covenant's loss signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.

Evan Bosak and Caden Smith scored all three of New Covenant's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 43 goals.

Meanwhile, Tandem Friends hasn't lost a match since September 2nd, a trend which continued in their latest game on Thursday. They and Stuart Hall finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw. The result (or lack thereof) marked Tandem Friends' first draw of the season.

New Covenant's defeat dropped their record down to 12-2-1. Tandem Friends' draw makes their record 5-2-1 this season.

New Covenant took their victory against Tandem Friends when the teams last played back in August of 2019 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Gryphons since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
